About Dr. Paige

Dr. Paige Gutheil Henderson was born and raised in central Ohio. She traveled to Houston for her undergraduate studies and returned to Ohio to continue her studies at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine where she graduated in 2002.  She continued her training in the Family Medicine Residency program at Doctors Hospital where she served as Chief Resident of the Family Medicine Residency from 2004-2005. She became board certified in Family Medicine in 2005 and joined her father in private practice shortly thereafter.

Dr. Paige has accumulated vast experience and interests in family medicine.  She is on staff at Doctors Hospital and Mount Carmel Hospital.  She has a special interest in preventive medicine, management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, mood disorders and obesity.  Dr. Gutheil has served in many professional, academic and community positions.   She currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine for the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as on the Alumni Board of the College.  She serves on the Executive Board of the Columbus Osteopathic Association and the Board of Governors of the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.  She is an active member on the state and national levels of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.  Dr. Paige was named one of four Pfizer Outstanding Osteopathic Residents of the Year in 2005, named the Ohio Osteopathic Young Family Practitioner of the Year in 2007 and was given the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine’s 2009 Outstanding Recent Graduate Award.  She has participated in multiple international medical missions to the Dominican Republic and Belize.

Dr. Paige is married and has two children.  She also has many interests outside of medicine including cooking, scrapbooking, dancing and watching a good romantic comedy just to name a few.  Like her father, she believes laughter is the best medicine, but her patients note that her ability to deliver a punch line does not compare to that of her Dad!
