About Dr. Paige

“I love caring for patients from birth until death and really getting to know them and what their life is like.  Only with a true relationship with a family physician that is based on mutual trust and respect, can people feel comfortable addressing all the issues that relate to their health--physical, emotional, spiritual.  I am honored every day by the invitation that people give me to be a part of their lives and help them on their journey.”  - Dr. Paige

Dr. Paige Gutheil Henderson (Dr. Paige to most!) is an osteopathic family medicine physician serving patients on the west side of Columbus.  She is in traditional private practice with her father and also has created an innovative collaborative care path for patients who wish to partner with her more directly to improve their health.

Dr. Paige was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.  She received her doctorate degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 after completing her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Houston.  She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital and became board certified in Family Medicine in 2005. She joined her father Dr. Paul Gutheil in practice in 2005 where she has enjoyed creating a true family practice in which she takes care of all ages and a large variety of health conditions while really getting to know her patients.

Over the years, Dr. Paige has earned numerous honors and served the medical profession in many ways.  She was Ohio’s American College of Family Physician’s Young Physician of the Year in 2007 and won Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Outstanding Recent Graduate Award in 2009.  She has served as President of the Columbus Osteopathic Association, on the Board of Governors of the Ohio ACOFP, the Board of Directors of OU-HCOM’s Society of Alumni and Friends and the Board of Directors of the Ohio University Alumni Association.  She has also served in administrative leadership roles such as Chair of the Department of Community Health at Doctors Hospital and President of the Medical Staff at Doctors Hospital.  Dr. Paige is also an Assistant Professor of Primary Care Medicine at Ohio University and spends Tuesdays and Thursdays on campus in Dublin teaching first and second year medical students who are interested in becoming primary care docs.

Outside of the office, Dr.Paige enjoys spending time with her husband and three girls.  She enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, dancing, photography and of course watching the Buckeyes!
